Horizon Line

Artist's Statement

The subject of these paintings is the horizon line. With landscape painting the horizon line is often in the background. It's familiar and we take it for granted. Sometimes it's helpful to remind ourselves that it does not exist as a physical reality. The horizon line is a trick of our eye and our perceptions. Our perceived horizon line is never fixed; it is a simple story from our point of view.
